Kibale Forest National Park

This is of the country tropical rain forest N.P; located 36kms South of Fort Portal town. The park contains one of the loveliest and most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda.

Forest cover, interspersed with patches of grassland and swamp, dominates the northern and central parts of the park on an elevated plateau. The park is home to a total of 70 mammal species, most famously 13 species of primate including the chimpanzee.

Other activities done in this park include the following:

  • Chimpanzee habituation experience which is done for the whole days($220 per person per tracking)
  • Chimpanzee tracking takes 3-4 ┬áhours ($150 per person per tracking)
  • ┬áNature walks 1-2 hours ($20 per person)
  • Bigodi swamps walk which is done at anytime for a maximum of three hours($25per person)
  • Crater lakes exploration done any time ($15 per person per trip)
